Handmade soaps by Jillian

Handmade soaps by Jillian are made with all natural ingredients most of which can be found locally. From lavender to organic beeswax these soaps are a real nice gift for you or someone you care about. Try the "Summer at the lake" for easing those nasty sun burns or if the bugs are bad the "Wisdom soap" with sage and cucumber will help the annoying itch. Always crafting up new soaps for your health and beauty, Jillian also takes time to package her soap with recycled materials. Check back later when Jillian will have a feature on her Rustic Country Signs and will custom make them for you or your family.

Handwoven Baskets by Julia Hoftzyer

Always a basket lover Julia learned to weave her first basket from a future mother in-law in Hilton New York and was hooked! She has now been weaving for over six years and enjoys sharing her love of weaving.
Julia's first baskets were woven from the kitchen table and now has the space of a converted bedroom. The baskets are from the basic muffin style to the ever popular stair step basket. Most baskets are dyed with coloured reed which she does by hand.
Many of Julia's baskets have received winning ribbons at the Norwood Fair and was chosen to go to the Ontario Associations of Agriculture Societies convention in Toronto. Her baskets have sold to Europe, United States, North Ontario and of course locally as well. Custom Orders are aways a pleasure for Julia and she has also has tried some twill weaving and would like to diversify into canning. See these wonderful baskets The the Country Corner today.
